In March Braemar installed a state-of-the-art stainless steel Environmental Test Chamber. With a temperature range of –65˚C to +220˚C, this "oven" can test our designs for use in any part of the globe.

The chamber has an interior dimension of 37 cubic feet, providing ample space for testing down-hole equipment. It utilizes a Cascade refrigeration system, air-cooled condenser and two 3hp hermetic compressors. It also uses ozone friendly HFC refrigerants.

Air circulation is provided by fan forced convection and three multi-blade prop fans. Air is drawn in the bottom of the back wall plenum, passed over the conditioning components and then discharged out the top into the test space.

We added on controlled humidity, giving us 20% to 95% Rh as limited by a dewpoint depression of 4.4˚C and a dry bulb temperature range of +10˚C to +85˚C.
